I’m not even going to try to come up with an excuse for it — it’s October, it’s Halloween, it’s my second favorite holiday, and I’m gonna celebrate this month by posting lots of photos of people in goofy Muppet costumes.
And that is about as much of an explanation as I can muster for the stuff you’re about to see. I got all these photos from random places on the Internet, so I don’t actually know any of these people. I’m sure many of them would be horrified to know that their desperate last-minute Halloween costumes have been collected and posted on a website that they never even heard of.
But scariness is what Halloween is all about, right? Well, scariness and tooth decay. This wouldn’t be a Halloween Parade without the random distribution of candy… so here’s the deal. If you send me a photo of yourself, your innocent child, or anyone else dressed in a Muppet costume, I will mail you candy. This is an actual offer. I joke around about a lot of things, but like all right-thinking people, I take offers of candy very, very seriously. Just send me a photo of someone in a Muppet costume, along with your mailing address, and you will receive actual free candy in the mail. Plus you’ll have the sweet satisfaction of seeing your photo displayed in the Halloween Parade for the delight and entertainment of all. And what could be better?
And so, boys and ghouls… I now declare the Tough Pigs Muppet Fan Halloween Parade officially open. Let the scariness begin!
Okay, that’s it for part 1, but I’ve got more — lots more — for the days and weeks to come. We haven’t even seen the men dressed as Miss Piggy yet, or the witty and off-putting Oscar the Couch.
