Now, here’s why I’m so much more optimistic about Halloween this year. In last year’s parade, I was very harsh about the Cookie Monster costumes.
I used words like “ungainly,” “creepy,” and “dreadful mistake.” I may even have implied that some of the people involved would die a virgin, unmourned and unloved.
Harsh words, I know. But you took them in the spirit that I intended — as constructive criticism that would help you improve.
And this year, I’m happy to see that you took my advice to heart. Your Cookie Monster costumes are really something.
See what I mean? It’s a lot more lively, more enthusiastic. You’re into it this year. Even the dogs are good this year.
I mean, there are still some people who don’t get it. But you can’t fix everything, and it’s only been one year.
But keep it up, kids! You’re on the right track.
