Kermit the Frog to Guest Star on Disney’s Amphibia

Last year, we were appropriately surprised at the announcement that Fozzie Bear would be performing the voice of a character on the animated Disney series Big City Greens. Why have a Muppet perform a cartoon voice and not a Muppet performer? Fozzie Bear didn’t need to be the middle-man (or, middle-bear) between Eric Jacobson and an animated dentist.

Well, it’s happening again! Kermit the Frog has been announced as a celebrity guest voice on the Disney series Amphibia. Naturally, that probably means that Matt Vogel will be doing a Kermit voice for a character who isn’t Kermit, and then we’ll all see Kermit’s name in the credits.

Of course, this isn’t the first crossover between Kermit and Amphibia, as our favorite frog appeared in a promotional video last year, and then moderated a panel about the show at D23.

Stay tuned for more information about Kermit’s appearance, as well as any other Muppet voice acting gigs! Let’s get Gonzo on Duck Tales or something!
