There’s a bit of a shake-up at the top of Sesame Workshop this week. Jeffery Dunn, CEO since 2014, will be retiring from the organization in June 2021. As such, Sesame has named Steve Youngwood as their new CEO beginning in January 2021.
Youngwood currently serves as their Chief Operating Officer (or COO, which Bert would appreciate) and President of Sesame’s Media & Education Division. He has overseen their recent partnerships with HBO, WarnerMedia, AppleTV+, and more, as well as their expansion into school programs and further parts of the globe.
Additionally, Sherrie Westin, President of Social Impact & Philanthropy Division for Sesame, will transition to a new role as President of Sesame Workshop.
