Kids love eating junk food. When given the choice between food that’s good for them and food that’s bad for them, kids will choose the bad food pretty much every time. In fact, I would go so far as to say that kids’ eating habits are almost as bad as those of adults.
But hey, what if you started advertising fruits and vegetables with images of Muppet characters from Sesame Street? It’s so crazy it just might work, which is why Michelle Obama announced at a press conference this past week that that’s exactly what’s going to happen. And Sesame Workshop is letting their character be used for free! You can read all about it here.
The only problem remaining is that press conferences are boring. But Mrs. Obama got around that by bringing Elmo and Rosita along with her to liven up the proceedings. Check it out (Skip to about 5:05 for the monster parts):
