While we continue to wait for the Muppet video releases we’ve been clamoring for for years (seasons 4 and 5 of The Muppet Show, any number of rare Muppet specials, pretty much anything from the Henson archives, etc.), Disney has seen it fit to give us a Blu-ray release of a Muppet special that they keep insisting is a new holiday classic (so it must be true, right?).
It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie is coming to Blu-ray on October 7th. As of right now, we don’t have much more information. Will there be additional bonus features? Will we finally get to see Snoop Dogg’s deleted cameo? Will we get a version that removes the horrible Steve Irwin: Crocodile Hunter spoof? I cannot answer these questions. But I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
