We are saddened to learn about the passing of Tim Miller, one of the many unsung talents from the Muppet workshop.
Tim Miller got his start on The Muppet Show, building characters such as Winny, Sundance the Lion, and the Jabberwock. As the Workshop Supervisor of the Canadian Muppet workshop, Miller helped build the original Gobo Fraggle and Sprocket. He built and designed Muppets for all the Muppet films from The Great Muppet Caper through It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Carol, including The Dark Crystal.
To add to that massive list, we can also thank Miller for building characters such as Clifford, Chip, The Christmas Toy‘s Meteora, and Elmo in Grouchland‘s Bug.
Tim Miller’s influence, direction, and talent played an important part in Muppet history, and we’re grateful for his years of service.
