German actor Til Schweiger, who you may remember as Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz, the Nazi who defected to Brad Pitt’s side of the war inInglourious Basterds, will also be leaving the Nazi party behind to join the Muppets.
According to a Twitter leak by actress Fleur Poad (who also has a small role in the movie, but doesn’t have that Tarantino notability yet to justify a ToughPigs news item), Schweiger was on the Muppets… Again set at the same time as her.
Unfortunately, Schweiger may not be sharing any screen time with his Basterds co-star Christoph Waltz, who was originally set to play the Interpol officer, but rumors say that Waltz may still cameo in the film, so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about at all.
