Strong Museum of Play Auctions Off Muppet Meet-Ups and More

The Strong Museum of Play has had a, well, strong connection with the Muppet world for years. From Jim Henson’s induction to their Toy Industry Hall of Fame to the Henson Family’s donation of over 600 Muppet-related toys for their collection, the Rochester, NY museum is home to all things related to Muppet toys. Oh, and they even have an entire section dedicated to Sesame Street, including a facsimile of the infamous stoop!

The Strong Museum is currently holding their annual fundraising gala. Since we’re all on lockdown, the gala is being held virtually. While that may have posed an issue, it works to our favor in this (highly specific) case.

A part of the fundraiser includes an auction, which is not only being held online this year, but it’s also open to the public. Almost 200 items and services are up for auction, and a few are extremely relevant to the interests of some Muppet-loving folks such as yourselves. These items are:

The auctions will all close on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 8pm ET.

Museums across the country are in dire need these days due to limited attendances. If you have the funds to spare, we hope you’ll consider helping out this terrific institution.
