The documentary Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street recently enjoyed a very receptive premiere at the online Sundance Film Festival. There is still no official word when it will make its wide release in theaters, home video, and streaming, but we do have news about when it’s coming in paper form!
A companion book to the film, titled The Unseen Photos of Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street, will be released on December 7, 2021. Trevor Crafts, producer of the documentary, has put together a 224-page book of 150 rare and unpublished behind-the-scenes photos from the show, as taken by photographer David Attie. In addition to all the purdy pictures, the book will also feature interview selections with various cast and crew members, including Joan Ganz Cooney, Bob McGrath, Caroll Spinney, Fran Brill, and more.
