Following the highly anticipated reprints of the Labyrinth and Dark Crystal novelizations, Archaia will also be giving the same treatment to The Storyteller, thus effectively presenting three of Jim Henson’s best-known and most ambitious Creature Shop projects into prose. And now we have more information, as well as the book cover, as seen above (courtesy of Nerdist).
The hardcover release is a reprint of the original Storyteller novelization, which contained nine segments, originally adapted by the late Anthony Minghella, who also wrote the final scripts for the original episodes. The book will also contain new illustrations by Hannah Christenson and Eva Eskelinen, as well as behind-the-scenes photos from the Henson archives.
Chapters in the book will include:
- The Three Ravens
- Hans My Hedgehog
- The Soldier and Death
- The Luck Child
- The True Bride
- Fearnot
- The Heartless Giant
- Sapsorrow
- A Story Short
The book will be in stores this August.
