The latest obscure Jim Henson production to make it to DVD before seasons 4 and 5 of The Muppet Show has been announced! The Secret Life of Toys, based on the awesome Muppet special The Christmas Toy, is headed to DVD this fall.
Dave Goelz and Jerry Nelson reprise their roles as Ruby Tiger and Balthazar the teddy bear, and Louise Gold performs Raisin (which inexplicably replaces The Christmas Toy’s Apple, originally played by Kathy Mullen).
The series ran for only 13 episodes, so this should cover about half, and those of us who are Henson completists will just have to cross our fingers for a volume 2.
