If you were watching the Fox Network at 8:00pm EST last night, you may have noticed that The Simpsons pulled out a pretty decent Muppet homage, complete with puppet versions of the Simpson family, cookie-eating, letter/number sponsors, arm-waving, two old guys in a balcony, and even Katy Perry (though this was filmed before the Katy Perry incident on Sesame Street).

Weird, right? But kinda awesome, in a “The Simpsons has been around for over 20 years” kinda way.
