We at ToughPigs love the Muppet figures from Funko Pop, not just because they’re unique and fun depictions of the characters we love, but because they’re among the very few original merchandise coming out from the Muppet brand at all. So whenever they announce new stuff, we’re happy to give them the notice they deserve.
Last year, they slapped a new coat of paint onto their Mahna Mahna and Snowths figures and sold them exclusively at Comic-Con International in San Diego. This year, they’re repeating the process with several figures: Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Animal. Plus, a few Wacky Wobblers!
As you can see in the images above, Funko will be repainting their Kermit, Piggy, and Animal figures in a shiny, metallic paint, which will be available at the Funko booth at this year’s Comic-Con International. They’re also releasing a metallic repaint of their Animal Wacky Wobbler, and a new Wobbler of Fozzie Bear. If you’re not going to Comic-Con, you’re out of luck (or you’re shopping for them on eBay in a few weeks).
