No Porn on Sesame Street

Over the weekend, visitors to Sesame Street’s usually spectacular YouTube page were treated to quite the surprise.  That of the naked variety.

A YouTube user by the handle of “Mredxwx” somehow hacked into the site and replaced videos about the alphabet and cute furry monsters and Elmo’s goldfish with those of the pornographic variety.  The banner of the page was also altered to read, “Sesame Street: I’ts Where Porn Lives” (sic), causing a ruckus in the grammatical world as well.  The following message was also added to the page:

WHO DOESN’T LOVE PORN KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON’T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS 🙁 PLEASE…LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!

It truly hurts the brain, doesn’t it??

Sesame Workshop released the following statement:

We apologize for any inconvenience our audience may have experienced today on our Sesame Street YouTube channel.  Our channel was compromised and we are presently working with YouTube/Google to restore our original content. We always strive to provide age-appropriate content for our viewers and hope to resolve this problem quickly.

Luckily, the offending videos were only up for about 22 minutes before being pulled down, and even luckier, it seems that all of the original Sesame Street videos are back on their YouTube page (which you can watch right here!).  Glad you have you back, Sesame.  Please don’t scare us like that again.
