Hands-down one of my favorite Sesame Street albums is Sesame Road. With classics like “Letter B”, “Rebel L” and “Hey Food”, it’s a tour de force of a rock album. Not just by Sesame standards, but of the overall music world too. Seriously, it’s just the best.
The album debuted on cassette tape in 1993, and was then re-released (with a few edits) onto CD in 1995. If it had come out just a few years earlier, we might’ve seen it on a few other formats as well. So somehow, it wasn’t until 2016 that we saw this classic album on vinyl.
This year on Record Store Day, November 25th, you’ll have the opportunity to buy a limited-run (only 2,000 being printed) record of Sesame Road! The record itself will come in one of four colors (red, blue, yellow, and an extremely rare green).
