Every year since 2003, Sesame Workshop has hosted an elegant benefit gala to raise money for their educational efforts across the globe. Given the circumstances of COVID-19, they weren’t able to host their event last year. This year, they’ve not only found a way to host the event safely, but have also ensured everybody, everywhere is able to see it.
From now until June 30th, you can watch the star-studded virtual event, celebrating the organization’s recent “Coming Together” initiative about racial justice. Hosted by Oprah’s best friend Gayle King, the program features some awards, Muppet antics, and musical performances from Jon Batiste, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots, and many others.
