Folk singer and Woodstock performer Richie Havens passed away this week at the age of 72.  Although he’s best known to most people for his soothing voice and intense guitar style, he’s remembered by folks like us for his appearances on the 6th season of Sesame Street.

Richie Havens Havens made a few appearances on Sesame Street. Among them were his rendition of “Here Comes the Sun”, a song titled “It’s Pouring”, and Havens counting from 1 to 20. Only two of his Sesame appearances made it to YouTube, and you’re encouraged to watch them both right now.
