We’re big fans of the Muppet*Vision 3D, so we’ve been paying close attention to recent rumors and developments that have come flying at us in three dimensions regarding the uncertain future of the attraction at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Today, WDW Magic and a few other Disney park fan sites are reporting that, amidst much construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the area of the park containing MuppetVision 3-D and its neighbor, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, will soon be renamed “Muppets Courtyard.” They were previously part of the “Streets of America” section of the park.
This definitely means… Well, we’re not sure what it means. It doesn’t support or debunk rumors of a Muppet-themed restaurant. But the fact that they’d bother to rename the area is a good sign that they’re not planning on bulldozing MuppetVision in the near future. So… yay?
