redbookIn celebration of Jim Henson’s birthday (happy birthday, Jimbo!), The Jim Henson Company decided to give a gift to his fans.

The newest feature on Henson.com is “Jim’s Red Book“, a blog featuring excerpts from Jim Henson’s personal journal, which he kept from 1965 to 1988. And as we all know, those were some pretty prime Muppet years.

The first entry is from September 24, 1984 (happy birthday again, Jimmy!) from the set of Labyrinth. Jim talks about meeting with George Lucas and the writing process for the film.
