She traded barbs with Rowlf the Dog, she taught Fozzie Bear about comedy, she played sax with Zoot, and she made us all laugh on The Muppet Show. Comedienne Phyllis Diller has passed away at the age of 95.
Her work with the Muppets gave her a proper spotlight on her routine. She could be funny, self-deprecating, musical, sharp, and often, all at the same time. Both the comedy world and the Muppet fandom world will miss her dearly.
