At just over a month before the new Muppet movie hits theaters, the Disney marketing machine is starting to get kicked into overdrive! And part of that initiative includes at least two more Muppet-themed websites.
First up is The-Muppets-Movie.com, which features the trailer and photo stills, but also some goodies like wallpapers, profile pictures, avatars, sounds, and animated GIFs. The site also has two “Coming Soon” icons, promising something I can’t quite read. Maybe they’re “Muppet Mildred” and “Muppets Megadumpster”? Hopefully we’ll know more soon!
The other new site is MeetTheMuppets.com, which has an interactive image of the Muppet gang. Just double-click on the map to zoom in, single-click to see the characters’ profiles, get downloads, see pictures, listen to noises, and best of all, see some videos. The videos are the real highlights, featuring the Muppets just messing around on camera. My favorite is Bunsen’s video, which catches him cutting loose in a rare Beaker-less environment.
