Disneyland’s Muppet Vision Closed??

We’ve heard from several sources that Muppet Vision 3D at Disneyland’s California Adventure in Anaheim, CA is temporarily closed.

If the rumors are true, Disney’s plans are as follows: Muppet Vision is closed as of today.  On December 20th, the theater will reopen with a brand new Frozen-themed show.  The Frozen show will run for six months, and then Muppet Vision will return in early May, 2015.

Of course, none of that is confirmed.  Other than the fact that Muppet Vision is currently not open.  And while I’d like to be optimistic that Muppet Vision will only be gone temporarily, the insane success of Frozen worries me that it will steal its Disneyland real estate from right under their flippers and paws.

On the bright side, Muppet Vision is still open at Walt Disney World in Orlando, so this is not the end of the classic Muppet show.  However, let’s all have a moment of silence for ToughPigs contributor Jarrod Fairclough, who is visiting Disneyland for the first time from Melbourne, Australia, and the attraction was closed while he was on the plane.  Sorry, Jarrod.

As always, we’ll keep you informed on the status of Muppet Vision and it’s hopeful return!
