We are saddened to learn that Kaye Ballard, star of a classic episode of The Muppet Show, has passed away at the epic age of 93.
Kaye Ballard was a star of stage and screen, appearing in dozens of memorable sitcoms and singing on Broadway. But somehow, her musical number with a giant blue monster remains a highlight of her career.

As you can see, Ballard is having the time of her life with Thog. And the rest of her episode is just as great – she jams along with the Muppet Show theme song, appears in a Muppet News Flash, and gets into a musical instrument battle with Miss Piggy.

Kaye Ballard was a memorable participant in the chaos of the early Muppet Show, and these glimpses at her appearance are a great reminder as to why we’re so proud to have her as one of our own.
