With museum exhibits already in (or coming to) Mississippi, New York, Seattle, and Atlanta, there aren’t many places left to display Henson artifacts. Well, we’ve got one more to add to the list: Greenwich, Connecticut.
On April 5th, Jim and Jane Henson: Creative Work, Creative Play will open at the Greenwich Historical Society. The exhibit will be open through October 8th, so if you’re planning to be in the Connecticut area between now and then, you’d better plan to make a Muppet-related pit stop.
Jim and Jane Henson are no strangers to Greenwich, having lived there from 1964 to 1971. And this exhibit will highlight those years of their lives. For example, you’ll get to see a Kermit the Frog puppet built in 1963, the Robin puppet used in 1971’s The Frog Prince, classic Sesame Street illustrations, and a doll house built by Jim himself. Not to be left out, Jane will be represented as well, with several of her paintings and sculptures on display.
