Exciting news for Amazon Prime members in the United States! Variety reports that starting today, several Jim Henson Company titles are available for streaming free with an Amazon Prime subscription. In addition to the already-in-the-collection Farscape, these include:
- The Jim Henson Hour segments “The Song of the Cloud Forest,” “Living with Dinosaurs,” “Lighthouse Island,” and “Monster Maker.”
- The 1984 Fraggle Rock video compilations “Fraggle Songs” and “Doozer Music”
- Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series
- The preschool series Pajanimals
Considerably more exciting news for Amazon Prime members outside of the US! You can watch all of that stuff, plus:
- All 96 episodes of Fraggle Rock
- The Storyteller
- The Storyteller: Greek Myths
- Mother Goose Stories
- The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss
Due to rights issues, that second group isn’t included for US members. HBO retains streaming rights to Fraggle Rock (which can be found on their streaming services) and The Storyteller. But hey, it will be fun to see “Song of the Cloud Forest” again, right?! And anyway, we can be thrilled for our friends in other countries. They can watch “Manny’s Land of Carpets” whenever they want without even getting up to put in the DVD.
That’s something, right?
