I have an annual tradition of heading to my local Hallmark Store once a year to find and purchase their annual Muppet Keepsake ornament. I have quite the collection, and I’m proud to cover my tree in Muppets each holiday season.
We’re pleased to see that Hallmark is continuing that tradition with this year’s ornament – Kermit the Frog! Kermit will be seated on his director chair (akin to a memorable scene from The Muppet Movie). Unfortunately, this year’s ornament won’t feature a button to play an audio clip, but I think that’s fine. Ornaments are usually meant to be seen and not heard.
But that’s not all! Sesame Street is getting into the ornament game too! They’ll have three offerings: Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Elmo. Big Bird comes with a familiar street sign, Cookie Monster is overwhelmed with cookies, and Elmo is… walking. I guess he’s known for doing that.
All of the ornaments are now available for pre-order. Kermit, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Elmo will all be officially available on July 13th. Just in time for Christmas.
