Today in “It’s About Time”, we have learned that Dave Goelz will be honored at an upcoming event at the Henson Company lot in Hollywood.
Dave Goelz, as I’m sure you know, is responsible for characters like Gonzo the Great, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Boober Fraggle, and literally hundreds of other Muppets from the past 40 years.
The event is sponsored by The Jim Henson Company, The Muppets Studio, and The Center for Puppetry Arts. Quite the power combination! The event will be open to the public, so stay tuned for information on how to get tickets!
Dave will be honored on September 24th, which just so happens to also be Jim Henson’s birthday.
Congratulations to Mr. Goelz on this wonderful honor and over 40 years of quality work with the Muppets!
