SuperBowl LV (that’s 55 for you non-Romans) is only a couple of weeks away! The bad news is that we won’t be able to have our big Super Bowl viewing parties like we used to. The good news is that we’ll get to see some Muppets during the big game!
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the Sesame Street Muppets will be featured in a minute-long advertisement for the food delivery company DoorDash during the first quarter of the game. The commercial will also feature Hamilton star Daveed Diggs, performing a new version of the Sesame favorite “People in Your Neighborhood.” A 30-second teaser for the ad starring Cookie Monster will apparently air during this Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
So, if you want to see how well Grover can work a hibachi grill, tune into the big game on Sunday, February 7th to find out. Otherwise, you can probably just see the commercial online sometime beforehand because that seems to the trend these days.
