Not only is The Muppet Show coming to Disney+ in mere days, but Muppet Treasure Island is celebrating its 25th anniversary! In honor of both of these incredible events, Disney’s official fan club – D23 – is hosting two virtual events.

On Tuesday, February 16th, you can join the cast and crew of Muppet Treasure Island for a watch party. Director Brian Henson, Muppet performers Dave Goelz and Bill Barretta, and actor Kevin Bishop (who played Jim Hawkins) will join Muppet Studios’ Leigh Slaughter for stories about the production of the film.

The watch party will be available to watch after 3pm ET, or you can watch at 7pm ET while the various Muppet Twitter accounts live tweet the film.

On Thursday, February 18th, D23 will celebrate “A Muppetational Legacy” with the same folks as above (Brian Henson, Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta, Kevin Bishop, and Leigh Slaughter) as they share a conversation about Jim Henson, the Muppets, and Disney.

This conversation will premiere on February 18th at 7pm ET/4pm PT.

It’s so satisfying to see Disney begin to celebrate these huge Muppet events. As you can imagine, we’re overly thrilled about The Muppet Show on Disney+ as well as Muppet Treasure Island‘s anniversary, and it’s great to see that Disney is jazzed about it too.
