We’ve been patiently and excitedly anticipating the two upcoming permanent Jim Henson museum exhibits coming later this year.  The Museum of the Moving Image in New York City is expected to open their Muppety doors this December, and we’ve been waiting for word on the Center for Puppetry Arts’ exhibit.  Well, we shall wait no longer.  (I mean, we’ll still have to wait.  But now we know exactly how long.)

The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia will be debuting their Jim Henson wing on Saturday, November 14th!  According to CPA’s website, here’s what you’ll expect to see:

This interactive exhibition will follow Henson’s prolific imagination chronologically, transporting visitors through environments that typified the master puppeteer’s world such as Jim’s Office and the Television Studio.

In addition to learning how Henson’s characters came to life and are still performed, visitors will be able to view iconic puppets such as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait.  Who’s up for a reverse-Muppet Movie road trip to Georgia??
