It’s no secret that we at Tough Pigs are big fans of the Muppet Show comics Roger Langridge did for Boom! Studios a few years back. Langridge perfectly captured the spirit of the TV show, and gave us a regular dose of Muppet hijinks months and years before we returned to the Muppet Theater in The Muppets. (I said “Muppet” a lot” in that sentence.)
These days, Disney owns both the Muppets and Marvel comics, but they haven’t done much about that fact except release the previously unseen “Four Seasons” story arc. Now USA Today is reporting that next April, Marvel will publish one big book compiling four of Langridge’s Muppet series, entitled The Muppets Omnibus. If you never got around to buying the comics but always meant to, this is the perfect chance to catch up. If you already own them all in single issues, this is the perfect chance to buy them again. Either way, it’s going to take up a lot of room on your bookshelf.
