While we all mourn the lack of The Muppet Show in our lives, every so often we get a treat. For example, the latest episode of Carpool Karaoke, which channels the fun and chaos of The Muppet Show beautifully.
The new episode, which co-stars SNL alum Jason Sudeikis, features the Muppets doing what they do best – singing classic songs. Just like in the old Muppet Show days, they belt out some familiar tunes, along with a decent amount of patented Muppet chaos, and it’s fantastic.
That said, the episode also takes place inside a van (the Electric Mayhem van, to be precise), which means that there isn’t much room for anything but sitting still and singing. That’s a bit of a bummer, since we always want more from the Muppet gang, but considering that’s the whole premise of the show, I guess we’ll accept it.
