Slowly but surely, I Am Big Bird, the Caroll Spinney documentary, will be making its way into each and every one of our hometowns (and if not, we’ll volunteer to drive cross-country with the DVD and a projector). While we wait for that, the film’s first official US screening has been announced. And for the first time ever, we get to say: If you live in New Jersey, you’re the lucky ones!
I Am Big Bird will have its US premiere at the Montclair Film Festival in Montclair, New Jersey. The screening will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:00pm. And as an added bonus: Caroll Spinney and his wife Debra Spinney will be there to help present the film!
And don’t forget, the film will also be shown at the Hot Docs festival in Toronto sometime on April 28, April 30, May 1 and May 4!
