Two more stars have joined the cast of The Jim Henson Company’s upcoming puppet noir film, The Happytime Murders. One of them is an A-list star of some of the entertainment world’s most classic films and TV series, and the other is Elizabeth Banks.
Elizabeth Banks will appear in the film alongside Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph. Also included in the announcement was the confirmation that Muppet performer Bill Barretta will be playing the lead character, Phil Phillips.
Also new-to-us news: Melissa McCarthy will be playing lead detective Connie Edwards, Elizabeth banks will be a burlesque dancer named Jenny, and Maya Rudolph will be Phillips’ secretary, Bubbles.
This cast keeps looking more and more promising! Three of the funniest faces in comedy today are attached, and this film is going to be dynamite.
