Gen Con is a “hobby, fantasy, science fiction, and adventure game convention” that will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana this summer from August 2-5. I’m not sure whether Caroll Spinney and Steve Whitmire would be considered hobbies or adventure games, but they’ll both be there, and it sounds like they’ll have a busy weekend. Planned panels include:
- An Afternoon With Steve Whitmire
- I Married Big Bird: Stories from Debbie Spinney with special guest, Carroll Spinney
- Making Puppets Come Alive with Steve Whitmire
- From There to Here with Steve Whitmire
- Honor That Bird, with Carroll Spinney
- Monitor Puppeteering with Steve Whitmire

But that’s not all! Caroll Spinney will also be a guest at Dragon Con, which bills itself as “the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction & fantasy, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe!” That’s happening in Atlanta, Georgia from August 30 to September 3. You can find out more on their website. There are no specific details about scheduling or panels there just yet.
