Veteran actor Martin Landau, who you may have seen in classic films like North by Northwest, Crimes and Misdemeanors, and Ed Wood (for which he won an Academy Award), has sadly passed away.
Like all great actors, Landau worked with The Jim Henson Company and the Muppets on several occasions.
In 1996, Landau starred as Geppetto in The Adventures of Pinocchio (with Jonathan Taylor Thomas as Pinocchio), which featured puppets by the Henson Company. I have never seen this film, and I don’t think I’ve met anyone who has. Sorry, Martin.
Much more recently, in 2014, Landau appeared as himself in an episode of the webseries Disney Drive-On with the Muppets. In the episode, Walter stumbles into a voice recording session with Landau. You can watch the full episode on YouTube here:
