Clarice Taylor, who portrayed David’s grandmother, on Sesame Street, passed away this week at the age of 93. She played the role of “Harriet” from 1977 to 1989, which is quite a hefty run for a guest star.
You may know her better as Cliff Huxtable’s mother from The Cosby Show. She also appeared in the original Broadway cast of The Wiz, Sanford and Son, and Clint Eastwood’s Play Misty for Me.
