One of these people is reported to be in the new Muppet movie.
Man, how long has it been since the last new celebrity cameo rumor for the new Muppet movie? One day? Two? That’s way too long. So it’s a huge relief to have the names Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt surface today. According to The Hollywood Reporter andvarious other entertainment sites, the funny guy and the young actress (respectively) are joining Mickey Rooney on the long, long, long list of celebrity cameos in the new movie which may or may not be called The Muppets. And hey, they’re both British!
Ricky Gervais has proven he’s a good co-star for Muppets, withhis Sesame Street work with Elmo. I don’t know that much about Emily Blunt, but so far there hasn’t been a single cameo rumor I’ve disapproved of, so I see no reason to fear she’ll ruin the entire movie. And there are probably more cameo announcements to come… At this point, there may be fewer stars in Hollywood who aren’t in the Muppet movie than those who are.
