Who Wants a Free Grover App?

Do you have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad?  Do you like Grover?  If you answered “yes” to both of those questions, keep reading.  If not, well, you can still keep reading, but this won’t be as interesting to you. Also, I would like to know why you don’t like Grover.

Exciting news: We have ten FREE iTunes download codes to give away for the app A Monster at the End of This Book, based on the classic book and featuring the voice of Eric Jacobson.  But we’re not just giving them away for nothing. We’re not that nice.

Here’s the deal: A Monster at the End of This Book is about Grover dealing with his fear of the titular monster, only to discover (SPOILER FOR A 41-YEAR-OLD BOOK THAT EVERYONE HAS ALREADY READ!) that the monster in the book was him all along.

But what if — and try to keep up with me here, because it’s a pretty strange notion — what if Grover was the monster in some other book?  What if Grover was the monster rafting down the Mississippi River in Huckleberry Finn?  What if Grover was the monster unstuck in time in Slaughterhouse-Five? What if Grover was the monster Precious in the novel Push by Sapphire?

So here’s what I want you to do: Create a picture of Grover as a character from another book and e-mail it to me at Ryan@ToughPigs.com. You can draw something and scan it, you can PhotoShop it, you can even make it in Microsoft Paint.  Just put Grover in a book and send it to me at Ryan@ToughPigs.com.  If there are more than ten submissions, I’ll pick my ten favorites. If there are exactly ten submissions… congratulations! Everyone gets an app!

The thing is, these promo codes must be used by March 15, so we have to do this quickly.  All submissions must be sent to me by the end of the day on Thursday, March 8. I know that’s not a lot of time, but why don’t you just do it now?  It’s not like you have anything better to do than draw a picture of Grover, right?

Special thanks to the folks at Sesame Workshop for providing these download codes.  Now, get Groverin’!

Click here to tell me “Groverin'” is absolutely not a word on the Tough Pigs forum!
