Jarrod Fairclough – Here’s a fun fact: In 1990, The Walt Disney Company and The Jim Henson Company began discussions to convert Disneyland in California to Muppetland for one whole year, to give Mickey and the gang a rest after their huge 35th anniversary celebrations.  Unfortunately, due to the premature death of Jim Henson, the project never went ahead.

But thankfully, the folks at the popular YouTube channel Defunctland, with a little help from fellow YouTuber Disney Dan, have put together a comprehensive explanation as to what was planned, with a little of the backstory and what happened afterwards.

Enjoy!
