Out pals over at the Muppet Mindset have uncovered some more information about that new live Muppet attraction coming to Walt Disney World! Which is good, because the anticipation has been agonizing. I can’t even imagine how difficult it’ll be once this thing goes live and I’ll likely have to wait years before my next Disney trip. Ugh.
The first obvious update is that picture above, which features exactly four more characters than our last teaser.
The next is the opening date: October 2nd! This is wonderful news, not just because that’s less than three weeks from now, but because ToughPigs’ own Ryan Roe will be in Disney World just a few weeks later, and he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he missed this. (He’d have to find a new apartment and everything.)
The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History will feature Sam the Eagle trying to teach the crowd about American history, but he’s predictably blindsided by the Muppet chaos that he literally has to deal with every day. Come on, Sam, you should expect this by now. The show will live in the Liberty Square portion of Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, just above the Hall of Presidents. Because everyone knows that above every good President is a bear in bifocals.
