Amy Adams has done a lot of interviews about her role in The Muppets, and she often tells the story of how she ended up in the movie in the first place: She received a video made especially for her, in which Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog came right out and asked her to be in their film. She watched the video, she cried from the emotion of having Kermit talk to her, she took the part.
