Ugh, Henson Company to Sell Fraggle Rock NFTs

It has come to this. The Jim Henson Company has partnered with NTF vendor Tibles to sell “digital collectibles” from Fraggle Rock.

If only NFT stood for “New Fraggle Toys”, we might get a little excited about this. Instead, we find ourselves disappointed. As we’ve mentioned here on ToughPigs almost exactly one year ago (in response to The Henson Company’s decision to sell NFTs from Labyrinth), there are a slew of reasons that they seem to be a bad idea. Those reasons include (but are not limited to) risky investments, a disappointing return for collectors and fans, supporting money laundering, and – most importantly – they’re bad for the environment.

That last reason goes against a lot of what we believe Jim Henson supported, and it absolutely goes against the morals introduced through Fraggle Rock. The irony is astounding.

If all of that doesn’t dissuade you from investigating more into Fraggle Rock NFTs, you can click here to get more information from the Tibles website. We’re not your mom, and we can’t tell you what to do.

But for the record, this is a bad idea.
