Tina Fey Wants to Go to There

For those of us who have been following Liz Lemon’s Muppet Show-esque journey for the past 7 seasons, we’re a little saddened to see 30 Rock come to a close.  Although we’ll miss seeing Jenna and Kenneth and Lutz on our TV screens, we’re pleased to know that the actors will be going on to do bigger and better things.  Like Muppet movies.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, former Saturday Night Live head writer and 30 Rock star Tina Fey is in “late-stage negotiations” to appear as the female human lead (as opposed to the actual female lead, who is a pig) in the upcoming Muppet movie.  Sources say that her role will be that of a Russian gulag prison guard, so she’s obviously reprising her role as Sarah Palin for the film.

This won’t be the first time Tina Fey has worked with Muppets. She had Henson-built puppets on her show, and she appeared as a Bookaneer on an episode of Sesame Street, which you can watch right here:
