There’s a lot of great Muppet merchandise out there, but there’s always been something missing from their regular offerings. I now know that the missing element has been ceramic cocktail drinking vessels in the shapes of our favorite characters
Geeky Tikis is now offering up five new Muppet-themed tiki mugs. Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and Animal are all available for pre-order.
I’m not gonna lie – these things look weird. But I think there’s something potentially beautiful about their weirdness. (Much like Gonzo himself, to be honest.) I’m guessing that we all have Muppet merchandise that looks exactly like a bunch of other products – Kermit with his banjo on a log, Gonzo in his daredevil outfit, Fozzie with a rubber chicken, etc. It’s nice to see companies like this taking creative chances and offering us something that will stand out amongst the rest of our collections. I, for one, am very excited to see these in person.
