Tomorrow, the highly-anticipated documentary Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street will finally be released in select theaters. For a complete list of screenings across the country, you can consult the movie’s official website and see if it’s playing in your neck of the woods. And as we have stated before, if your local theater isn’t open yet or you just don’t feel it’s safe to go out to the movies again, the film will be availible on demand starting May 7th. But for those of you who like physical objects, there’ll soon be another way to own the film.
Street Gang will be coming to both DVD and Blu-ray on July 6, and you can pre-order it on Amazon right now. There’s no word yet on whether there’s any bonus content (such as deleted scenes or extra backstage footage), but we’ll keep you updated when we know. Supporters of the film on Indiegogo at certain levels were also promised a DVD copy with their donations, so if you fall into that category, we recommend being on the look out for updates about those from the producers.
