Why There AREN’T So Many Songs About Rainbows

In 1979, the Muppets (by way of Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher) asked the ultimate hypothetical question: Why are there so many songs about rainbows? Over the past 40 years, Muppet fans have pondered the possible answers as if it might hold the secrets to the universe.

The truth is, we may never know why there are so many songs about rainbows. But that won’t stop us from asking it (often in tune!). Recently on the ToughPigs Twitter account, we posed the question one more time, but in a slightly different fashion:

What started as a fun Twitter joke ended up with dozens of clever, funny, or interesting responses from our readers. Still wondering why there are so many songs about rainbows? Take a look at these wrong answers, if only to rule them out!
