We are saddened to learn that the well-known character actress Shelley Duvall has passed away.
Best known for her roles in films like The Shining and Popeye, as well as her series Faerie Tale Theatre, she also crossed paths with Jim Henson and the Muppets on a few occasions.
In 1986, Duvall was featured in an issue of Muppet Magazine, promoting her Faerie Tale Theatre series. You can read her full spotlight below.
A few years earlier, in 1981, Duvall appeared in the film Time Bandits. While at a New York premiere party, she crossed paths with the one and only Jim Henson.
While we’re sad to see an icon like Shelley Duvall go, we’re proud to name her among those who’ve crossed paths with the Muppets.
