Yes, we’ve all seen the headline: Now we can tell you how to get to Sesame Street.  Now that that’s out of the way…

As of this week, you can go to New York City and visit an actual Sesame Street!  The corner of W 63rd Street and Broadway (near the Sesame Workshop offices) has been permanently renamed “Sesame Street”.  We were on hand for the ceremony, plus a little more.

Below, you’ll find our exclusive interview with Cookie Monster and Sesame Workshop CEO Jeff Dunn.  We talk a bit about the street naming, but we also took this as an opportunity to give Dunn a little quiz about the show he works for.  How well does he do?  Watch and find out!

And here’s the full ceremony, featuring most of your favorite Sesame Street characters, human actors, and Mayor Bill de Blasio!

And hey, how about a few photos from the event??

Many thanks to Louie Pearlman, as well as Sesame Workshop’s John Didato and Billy D’Amico for their assistance in collecting this content.
